Sam Allen leads a team of best-in-class researchers supported by experienced business leaders.
Sam built the company after holding key leadership positions at international executive search firms Whitehead Mann and Boyden over a nine year period. Prior to this Sam had a 15 year career in the UK and internationally with Sainsbury’s plc, Dunhill and Greene King plc, the latter of which she was on the Board.
Sam holds an MBA, an MA in Employment Law, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), is an accredited commercial mediator and a qualified MBTI and Belbin Team Roles practitioner.
Emma joined the business as a Researcher and worked on a number of Board level searches across the retail and consumer sectors in private, PLC and private equity backed companies, before deciding to move into the role of Executive Assistant.
Emma graduated with a BA (Hons) from Durham University.
Andrew has experience of handling a broad range of executive and non-executive appointments for private, PLC and private equity-backed companies in the UK and internationally. His sector experience covers a broad range of industries across global retail, consumer goods, leisure, telecommunications, retail financial services, consumer services, utilities, insurance, transport and sport. Andrew was previously at executive search firm Whitehead Mann (now Korn Ferry). Before moving into search, Andrew worked in finance for Tesco plc and TimeWarner.
He holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Southampton, an MBA from Warwick Business School and is Belbin accredited.
Victoria focuses on main Board and direct report appointments spanning global consumer-facing industries. Victoria joined the business from boutique executive search firm Fraser Giles Partnership specialising in appointments across the Hospitality, Travel and Leisure industries. Prior to this she worked at international law firm Simmons & Simmons and career strategy advisors Stork & May, where she conducted high level bespoke industry and sector research for senior individuals, including Chairmen, Non-Executive Directors and CEOs during career transitions.
Victoria holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management.
Olga joined the business in 2012. Since then she has handled a wide range of senior executive and Board level appointments across multiple sectors, including retail, FMCG, financial services, leisure, telecommunications and healthcare. Olga previously worked at Boyden in the London Financial Services practice, where she specialised in senior appointments in Investment Banking. She began her career in banking, having worked in debt capital markets for a number of years.
Olga holds a Masters in Economics and Business from University College London and an MSc in Economics from the University of Helsinki, Finland. She also holds an International Relations Degree (Hons) from Belarusian State University.
Sara has over twelve years of experience in handling a variety of international executive appointments across multiple sectors. She has worked for a range of listed companies, as well as private and private-equity backed businesses in the UK, US, Europe, Asia Pacific and Australia.
Prior to joining the business, Sara worked at Heidrick & Struggles, firstly based out of Paris before joining the London team where she was part of the Global Technology and Services practice and focused primarily on CIO / CTO and CISO roles.
Sara holds a BA (Hons) degree in International Business Studies with French.
Robert has assisted in the execution of numerous senior executive and non-executive assignments across financial services, retail, business services, leisure and digital sectors, with a particular focus on consumer-focused companies.
Recent assignments have ranged from FTSE 250 companies, to growing start-ups prior to achieving their IPO.
Before joining the business Robert graduated with a BA (Hons) in History from Durham University having specialised in European Imperial History and 17th Century English History.
Aled has worked on a wide range of executive and non-executive appointments across retail, digital, financial services and FMCG sectors, with clients ranging from private equity backed businesses to FTSE Listed corporates. Prior to joining the business, Aled held operational roles in industry, firstly as an Associate at a Procurement Consultancy Firm, and more recently working across Operations and Efficiencies within Utilities.
Aled holds a BSc (Hons) in Geoscience from Keele University having specialised in Exploration Geophysics for the Hydrocarbon Industry.
Nick’s current assignments include FTSE350, private equity and private board appointments across a range of consumer-facing companies.
Before joining the business in 2018, Nick worked in financial services in Melbourne. Nick was born and raised in Australia and moved to the UK in 2015 to pursue further education.
He holds degrees from the universities of Melbourne and Oxford, where he completed a BA (Hons) and an MPhil in British and European History, respectively.
Savanna is a Research Associate at Sam Allen Associates. She has worked on appointments covering Public, Private and Private Equity-backed businesses across a range consumer facing industries, including Financial Services, Retail, Digital and Tech.
Savanna holds a Masters in Modern History from the University of Leeds, specialising in Soviet History and Eastern European History. She also has a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Leeds.
Since joining the team as a Research Associate, Annabel has worked on a range of non-executive and executive assignments including FTSE 250, Private Equity and Privately held businesses.
Prior to Sam Allen Associates, Annabel worked in retail and recruitment, having lived in France, Switzerland and Brazil respectively. She graduated with a BA in Modern Languages, French and Portuguese from the University of Bristol, having specialised in Brazilian Culture in her final year.
